Insulating Roof Tile

In order to save energy at home, a particularly delicate area as regards the thermal insulation of a house is certainly the roof.

In fact, the roof represents not only an important barrier between the house and the atmospheric agents, but is also a division between the external temperature and that of internal comfort, thus acting as a barrier to the passage of heat both in one direction and in the other depending on the seasons.

It is therefore important that the roof is designed and built in a workmanlike manner, in particular in the choice of the final covering which represents the last layer of protection towards the outside. There are various ways of making the roof with as many more or less effective and less expensive insulation systems.

For an effective realization, an insulating layer before the roof tiles should be applied: with ISOLANTEGOLA® it is possible to combine the two things, facilitating installation.

In fact, these are normal roof tiles available on the market to which a suitably shaped block of expanded polyurethane is added. Each element fits perfectly with the following elements, creating a uniform tiled surface with remarkable mechanical, thermal and functional characteristics.

ISOLANTEGOLA®, is normally produced using “Portuguese coppo” type roof tiles with a polyurethane (PU) substrate in order to ensure the tested experimental performances.

Performance:

TYPE “A”
Thermal transmittance “U” of the roof tile as a whole: 0.343 [W / m² ° K]
Thermal resistance “R” of the roof tile as a whole: 3.012 [m² ° K / W]
90 mm of PU equivalent – density 43 kg / m³
TYPE “B”
Thermal transmittance U of the roof tile as a whole: 0.272 [W / m² ° K]
Thermal resistance R of the roof tile as a whole: 3.680 [m² ° K / W]
115 mm of PU equivalent – density 43 kg / m³
